Embracing the essence of Americana

In the fall of 2023, Georgia Ruch Gocken was inspired by a vision—a vision of a haven where her late mother, Bobbie, a woman of impeccable taste and style, would have reveled. Whether it be for a last-minute baby shower, a heartfelt birthday celebration, or simply to add a touch of elegance to your home, Bobbie’s Shoppe has exactly what you are looking for, and even a few things you aren’t.

Bobbie's legacy is steeped in the refined sensibility and generational discernment passed down to our founder. Her name not only graces our storefront but also imbues each meticulously curated piece nestled within our walls. Bobbie's innate flair and her talent for transforming ordinary occasions into extraordinary moments have shaped the very essence of our establishment.

The art of gracious hosting, an artistry inherited not only from Bobbie but also from her mother – Georgia’s grandmother, Betty Lou, is fundamental in crafting the unique ambiance of our shoppe. Betty Lou's timeless elegance and her penchant for hosting memorable game nights contribute to the distinctive atmosphere that envelops our store. Together, the spirits of Bobbie and Betty Lou infuse Bobbie's Shoppe with an unparalleled warmth, transforming each visit into a delightful journey through the time-honored traditions of hospitality and gift-giving.

Celebrating the stories and memories that bind us across generations, Bobbie’s Shoppe offers timeless elegance and personal touch that both Bobbie and Betty Lou cherished.

Georgia Gocken

Hi, I'm Georgia, owner of Bobbie's Shoppe. I've always loved discovering unique treasures, from vibrant markets in far-off lands to quaint coastal towns. After a brief stint in engineering (Go Mustangs @ SMU), I discovered my true passion for color. Inspired by my mother and grandmother, I learned that timeless elegance and contemporary charm are what continue to resonate in our hearts as we embark on this new adventure.

Our home was always the go-to for "can I borrow" requests, where friends felt comfortable and secure knowing they could find what they needed. Whether it was a simple tray to host Thanksgiving dinner or a special touch for their home, our house was a source of support and inspiration.

A few years ago, I found myself frantically driving all over town in search of the perfect birthday gift for my best friend's baby. I became so frustrated with myself for not planning ahead and ended up having to order something online. The stress and pressure took all the joy out of what should have been a delightful experience. This frustration inspired me to create Bobbie's Shoppe. Now, I can pursue my love of supporting clients in their transformation to gifting experts, allowing them to enjoy life more without the stress of planning ahead for special occasions that require gifts for their loved ones.

Community and connection are important to us. We strive to strengthen the community by giving back and fostering the joy of connection. My goal is to offer my community a fun and exciting place to shop for unique and colorful items that add joy to their lives.

I'm in the business of making my clients look good. When they show up for a friend or family member, I want them to enter with a beautifully packaged item that is both thoughtful and fun!
